Rob is a graduate from the Occupational Health and Safety program at Red River College. Before his career as a Safety Professional, he worked in the Heavy Construction sector for 12 years. He completed a shared work term with ABCO Supply and Basar Heating and Air Conditioning prior to joining Safe on Site in August of 2007. He was hired as Safety Coordinator for Kensington Homes in January of 2008 and took over site inspection duties for the Qualico Group of Companies later that year. After a health scare in 2009 Rob started his own business, Proactive Safety Consulting Services Inc. where he worked in Winnipeg and Thompson, MB for several contractors on a wide variety of projects with various scopes of work. His term-based contract work included safety program development, COR-Certification, site safety supervision, and Safety Coordinator duties. In 2013 he accepted work as the Safety Coordinator for Capitol Steel where he was involved with several large structural steel and bridgework projects. In May of 2014, Rob joined the team at Bayview Construction Ltd. and Rocky Road Recycling Ltd. in a Safety Coordinator role. Rob is in charge of monitoring and maintaining the safety programs and ensuring safety compliance throughout all aspects of the companies. His previous construction and safety experience has been an asset to our group as he can relate with all levels within the company from management to workers in the field.
