Just as my firm was bouncing back from widespread shutdowns and as we were dealing with a massive loss of several clients, my father was diagnosed with cancer which would later take his life. While I continued to actively contribute to LinkedIn Pulse, I took a break from traveling. I stayed close to home and only took on clients who would be flexible enough to accommodate my responsibility to my parents.

I was invited to help run an emerging media start-up in early 2014 as I began looking for my next opportunity.I manage the day-to-day operations as well as lead the marketing and public relations efforts. At the height of the company I oversaw a team of 35 professionals.

I assist several of my former cohorts from Mosaic with establishing their marketing firm focused on targeted short-term campaigns. I conduct surveys, research reports, study trend data, and develop business assessments to guide future changes in the products, services, and marketing tactics of our clients.I apply quantitative and qualitative methodologies to design, administer, and interpret surveys, experiments, focus groups, polls, market research, sales data, etc.I work with freelance data analysts to translate consumer data into functional and accessible information that is used to align a product, service, marketing strategy, or sales tactic with consumer desires and trends.I team with software developers to run their beta tests and help collect vital feedback on performance and desired features leading to a high retention rate of stage 1 beta testers through to stage 3 public beta.

I rose to the role of Marketing Manager with aplomb. I lead a team sometimes consisting of a few as 5 or 6 to as many as a few dozen marketing professionals.• My team and I ran experiential marketing campaigns promoting our food and beverage clients at sporting events reaching over 10,000 people per activation per day.• Singlehandedly coordinated numerous midnight retail launches of AAA video games for an important console manufacturer with a signficant upsell rate.• Marketed $250MM+ grossing major motion films for movie studios from post-production through home release and even acting as their representative to movie theater chains. • My responsibilities included, but are not limited to, helping shape and implement collegiate focused marketing campaigns on behalf of Dell, curating social media accounts, and working with varying universities develop computer requirements for students of different majors.
