CurrentInstrumentation Technician(Metrologist) at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station (KNPS)August 1997 – PresentDuties:• Compile calibration instructions for new and existing equipment as required.• Provide training on operation and calibration of equipment and instruments.• Liaising with and managing third party contractors to ensure all test equipment was fit for purpose.• Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns.• Meeting face to face with clients and answering their queries orally or through demonstrations.• Keeping senior management informed of all changes in my areas of responsibility.• Ensuring work place safety regulations are met.• Ensuring the Calibration laboratory alignment adheres to ISO/IEC 17025 standard.• Calibration Laboratory standards are traceable too National Standards.• Develop calibration procedures.• Developing testing methods for Radiation equipment. • Managing daily calibrations and liaising with OEM’s and other laboratories. • Training and developing personnel.• Advising clients when purchasing Measuring and Test Equipment
