Sapphire designs, manufactures and services advanced drinking water and waste water treatment systems for a wide array of municipal and industrial end users that include large and small municipalities, First Nations communities, power and steam generation facilities and host of manufacturing operations employing treated process and waste water throughout North America.Reported to the CEO and Board of Directors of the parent company.

Recruited in 2005 by a large US based private equity company to succeed the retiring president and founder of Instachange Displays Ltd. Promoted & appointed President of Beemak Plastics LLC., another company owned by the same group in 2008. Held full scope P&L responsibility for the overall management and financial performance of these two highly profitable manufacturing businesses. These companies design, manufacture and sell an extensive line of shelving systems, point of purchase display products and design services to a global customer base that includes many of the world’s best known retailers, brand owners and creative services providers. Core manufacturing processes, which include injection molding, extrusion, fabrication, screen printing and assembly, are complimented by a highly efficient Asian based supply chain.Highlights:Transformed both companies into strategically proactive, solutions based, customer centric organizations by re-engineering core operational & selling processes. Increased sales by deploying outside sales resources & state of the art ecommerce facilities. Achieved significant cost reductions through vertical integration and China sourcing initiatives. Implemented comprehensive ERP and Health & Safety systems. Travelled extensively leading two cross functional management teams in North America, several strategically important vertical integration & new product development projects at a sister company in China and personally calling on customers, suppliers and potential acquisitions.

Recruited, along with two fellow PFB Corp. executives, by the board of directors of Inventronics to invest in and take charge of this ailing public company in 2000. At its peak the company had 600 employees operating out of five locations on two continents with annualized sales of $70,000,000. Inventronics designs and manufactures metal enclosures and racking systems for customers in the telecommunications, electro-mechanical, power back-up and traffic control industries. Core manufacturing processes include metal fabrication, finishing, assembly and tooling.Operationally, held bottom line responsibility for all sales, marketing, manufacturing, engineering and administrative activities. At the corporate level, held equity and served on the Executive Management Team, with responsibility for strategic planning, finance, policies, budgets and the overall financial performance of the company. As a corporate officer, reported to the CEO and to the Board of Directors of this public corporation. Served on the board of directors from June 2009 to June 2010Highlights:Successfully turned this company around during a period of severe volatility in its principal market the telecommunications sector. Achieved substantial cost reductions by implementing LEAN enterprise principals, consolidating three operations into one and selling off non-strategic assets.Operations won SIX SIGMA and Supplier Performance awards in 2002 from 3M. Implemented comprehensive ERP, CRM and Health and Safety systems. Acquired a UK subsidiary. Annualized sales grew from $20,000,000 to $70,000,000 in 18 months.

Promoted in 1995 to lead the new Morval Division, created as part of a major restructuring of Plasti-Fab Ltd., where I had been working for the previous 17 years. Morval designs and manufactures custom molded plastic products for a wide array of customers in the automotive, electronics, appliance and construction sectors. Core manufacturing processes include design, tooling, molding, fabrication and assembly.At the divisional level, led a cross functional team with bottom line responsibility for all sales, marketing, manufacturing, engineering and administrative activities. Member of Corporate Control Group with responsibility for strategic planning and the overall financial performance of the company. Served as an officer of this public company and reported to the CEO. Highlights Developed and implemented new strategic and operational plans that resulted in the successful start-up, profitable operation and subsequent lucrative sale of the Division. Achieved ISO9001 / QS9000 registration and successfully entered the auto sector as a tier one supplier. Financed, designed and built a world class manufacturing facility based on LEAN Enterprise Principles.Profitably quadrupled sales in three years.
