▪ Develop and test custom applications-driven software changes for scanning acoustic microscope imaging systems.▪ Sole person responsible for researching, prototyping, and writing custom software to allow transducer to change focus in Z-axis while scanning, so that it can stay in constant focus at a warped surface. ▪ Determine best way to image a sample through applied knowledge of acoustical physics, material sciences, and image processing. Analyze images and create presentations for customers that explain the part inspection process in regard to their application.

▪ Run tests, analyze results, and generate reports for black-box firmware testing of electrical utility smart grid switching devices.▪ Write applications in C# to automatically track, analyze, and modify thousands of test cases for greater test accuracy.▪ Eliminated false pass results from 15% of all test cases – that the previous tracking application did not catch – by writing my own test result tracking application.▪ Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and fix test system while applying expert knowledge of the switch device, as well as the design of the test itself, to ensure accurate test results and post-test analysis.

▪ Prepared and captured microscope images of cells, and wrote Matlab programs to analyze and determine the point spread function of the system in order to deconvolve the image and achieve a higher resolution.

▪ Designed compact and robust optical through-beam system to detect fine liquid spray from a nozzle. ▪ Engineered mechanical housing and electronic circuitry using Inventor and LT Spice, respectively, in such a way as to retrofit the detection system onto existing spray manifold design.▪ Tested each iteration of design on breadboards in the lab during developmental stages along with third-party products to analyze performance.
