A historian in training and a passionate Geek, I have spent the last 4 years studying History at the University of Suffolk. where we specialized in post-14th century social, diplomatic and economic history. While at the UOS I also had the distinct pleasure of acting as my class's student representative for 2 of my 3 academic years. I was also a key contributor on several University led infinitives and projects, such as working with Suffolk Archive to produce content for the Suffolk Shows, transcribing 18th and 19th-century cookbooks for the Suffolk food museum and working with fellow students and staff to improve online learning environments. As of the time of writing this summary, I am also working on two small papers dedicated to examining the impact of the 1951 Festival of Britain on Suffolk, I.e how the Festival affect the daily lives of outside the main festival sites in Britain, while also exploring whether the Festival of Britain was itself was changed in some way by the presence of local festival events. I aOn the more personal side, I have for the last 2 years been a society leader for two different societies. The First one I founded was a debate and discussion society dedicated to providing students at the UOS with a safe and understanding place to discuss complex ideas and to promote cross-course collaboration. The second society that I have played a leading role in maintaining and growing is the University of Suffolks Role play society, in this society, I have played the role of Society Secretary, charged with handling the day-to-day running of the group, booking venues, organising meet ups and of course acting as a Dungeon Masters for the group's numerous members.
