- Marketing the OHS message to all staff- Safety data analysis- Coaching and Mentoring others- Ensure compliance with legislation in both Canada and US- Accident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis- Develop Policies/Procedures

• Working closely with Senior Management to ensure that industry standards are exceeded• Involved in the development of Safety Programs and Policies to ensure a strong Safety Culture• Work with Operations Department to monitor accident claims and develop reduction strategies• Consolidate, review and analyze Safety compliance data (CSA/CVOR etc.) to produce updates to Senior Management and Operations Department• Developing Policies/Procedures and Standard Work Instruction (SWI)• Monitor claims vs budget• Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching to all staff

- Wide range of responsibilities include reviewing and verifying CVOR and CSA entries, identifying safety issues and taking corrective action as required and working closely with Senior Management to ensure that industry standards are exceeded- Utilizing excellent communication and people management skills to offer mentoring and training within the Safety, Risk and Recruiting departments- In charge of expertly assessing high-risk drivers, conducting accident investigations/reviews and sharing health and safety information with new employees, whilst consistently promoting a safety conscious ethos- Ably assisting in the safe return to work of employees - Responsible for ensuring company compliance with all regulations in both Canada and the US, whilst completing performance reviews of trainees- Acting as the Chair of the Accident Review Committee for the past 4 years; developing a strong reputation as a trusted expert to rely upon and refer to in terms of questions and complaints from drivers or outside persons - Demonstrating superb report-writing, organization and time management skills to ensure accident reports are completed and issued in a timely manner- Providing valuable guidance, advice and support to the Operations Department in all safety related matters and offering job specific training to new Safety personnel- Effectively analysing all Accident/Injury data to ensure continuous improvement for the company’s health and safety record
