Published annually, a nationally recognized "Risk Management Survey" which explored emerging issues of concern to corporate Risk Managers. Served as President and in other capacities with the National Association of Insurance Brokers whose members were responsible for administrating almost $40 billion in premiums by the early 1990s.

Clients were predominately Fortune 500 companies and public sector organizations.Responsible for marketing Benefacts services to the U.S. government and Washington, DC area businesses. Developed client relationships with Department of Navy/Defense Department, Marriott Corporation and others. Worked also as on-loan executive with The Conference Board in NYC as their Emerging Issues Coordinator (1977-1979).

Hired as an Instructor, promoted to Assistant Professor, received tenure and then promoted to Associate Professor. Primary focus was on Contemporary American Literature & History, Military Affairs and 20th Century Southern Literature. Taught interdisciplinary courses in English Dept. and General Honors program. Tenured Associate Professor on Graduate Faculty.Working with leading scholars of William Faulkner, helped to lead the development of West Point's Faulkner Concordance Project, serving as Executive Secretary (1971-76).Consultant to Senator Sam Nunn and U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee (1976-1977).
