As a result, Pension Strategies was founded with his partner, Howard Goldstein, CPA, MBA as a third party pension administration firm. The firm specialized in the design, implementation, management and administration of defined contribution pension plans.Pension Strategies administered retirement plans for numerous plan sponsors utilizing investment and insurance firms, such as, Alliance Fund Services, Kemper Funds, Equitable Life, Prudential, Penn Mutual and Security Mutual.Mr. Hackenberg was primarily responsible for the firm’s growth to administering in excess of 100 retirement plans prior to the sale of the company in 1999.
