• Preparation of MRI formers for winding.• Wind the formers to set requirements as detailed by the log books.• Winding of large scale 1 metre diameter plus coils for super conducting MRI bod scanners.• Completion of log books, data and numerical entries to conform to audit trails.• Liaise with departmental supervisor to prioritise work scheduling.• Daily checks on machinery as set out by the TPM programme.• Using various hand and powered tools/machinery both air and electric.

• Responding to emergency calls/ special service calls, crew managing, training and various other administration jobs at station level. • Use of various mechanical and hand tools.• Day to day management of running the station, being responsible for crewing levels, safety of crews at incidents and station, also planning training needs for each individual, recording and verifying pay for each person. Training is done within strict guidelines as set down by OFRS – this administered through weekly drills assessing each individual throughout the drill period. • Recording activities database to show each individual’s competencies and training needs.• Carry out risk assessments on different activities and training venues and record the data according to IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health). • Breathing apparatus qualified, HGV Class C qualified, IOSH qualified, first aid and trauma trained plus other various training packages specific to the fire service.

• Planning materials for the construction and fabrication of exhibition stands.• Interpret drawings from designer and set-out the stand and itemise the elements required to build the stand. • Ensure all items are prepped and fit for function prior to loading, then transport and install the stand. • Once installed ensure finished product meets customer requirement and liaise with onsite customer representative to ensure they are happy with the finished product, adjusting and improving to suit their needs.• Other duties, to ensure team members are planning their projects, materials and resources are available for them to meet their targets, all driving records are adhered to complying with strict Road Haulage Association criteria.• Various other tasks are undertaken during the day to day planning to enable the company to distribute various customer items around the country and throughout Europe.• Travelling throughout UK and Europe with time away from home being from a few days up to 1 month at a time. • Undertake the planning, move and setup of a new warehouse/workshop at the present location, then continuous improvement to meet the changing needs of the company. • Currently in the process of reviewing all risk assessments and updating/ rewriting them.• Driving of various vehicles from a van to an 18tonne lorry, loading/unloading of vehicle when arriving at sight.• UK and European driving experience.

• Daily set up of the tasks for the team, administering workloads and problem solving any issues within the team or from the previous handover. • Monitor and record the processes, check for errors/abnormalities, ensure good product flow• Tasks also include Time and Attendance administration, disciplinary issues, planning of resources, 5S activities and general activities to ensure a smooth running of the shift. • Undertaken various training packages to assist in the team leader role, please see below for details.• Gained a good knowledge of how to use Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint and SAP systems used for material movements and time and attendance. • Over the period with Siemens (formerly Oxford Magnet Technology) worked a variety of shift patterns including permanent days/ permanent nights/ weekend days and also weekend nights. • Role involved interaction with other team leaders/ Departmental managers/ Engineers and at times the Managing Director/ Company director and also required at times was the need to travel to Germany to view Siemens systems of work or new equipment required. • Initial role started as a fabricator in the fabrication department of pressure vessels for MRI body scanners which involved maintain the quality of the product and ensure it met the correct specification as per the drawings. • Hands on team leader using various hand and industry power tools. Overhead cranes and forklifts.• Knowledge of Kan-Ban, 5S activities, knowledge of SAP systems and some knowledge of lean manufacturingReason for Leaving: Redundancy.
