I have recently completed my research of the history relating to exactly how our Canadian Maple Leaf Flag became the National Flag of Canada. My final report is now available as a library research document "History of the National Flag of Canada" at the Canadian Museum of History, Department of Canadian Heritage uses my research findings in their description of the "History of the National Flag of Canada" website information also the Ontario History and Social Science Teachers Association have published my research paper "The Promise" on their Rapport blog site.
