Mr. Harrington is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio as well as federal jurisdictions in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. He focuses his law practice in the area of complex state and federal injury and employment litigation, having represented plaintiffs in federal, state, and arbitral tribunals in all phases of litigation, at both the trial and appellate levels. Representative matters include catastrophic injury and death claims, OSHA and Department of Labor matters before the Administrative Review Board, and complex insurance coverage matters. This experience includes first chair trial experience before both juries and the bench as well as oral arguments before federal circuit courts of appeal. He is a SMART-Transportation Division designated legal counsel representing railroad employees in FELA claims. The Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation workers union represents over 230,000 members nationwide. Mr. Harrington is also a member of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys (ARLA) and serves on its Board of Managers.
