I was employed by River Services operating manager after the sale of Kirby‘s offshore Marines coastal & inland division as Captain to manage and operate a pusher & model bow style tugboat in Philadelphia harbor River Services main focus is delivering ship stores and providing marine transportation to the construction companies in the area As well as crew changes and crew boat services.

I was employed at the Kirby offshore marine Philadelphia PA. division as Captain to help with the daily operations this included bunkering fuel and oil and delivering of ships stores, moving construction Derrick barges to various locations, I also helped directly with the maintenance of tugs and barges and helping the operations manager and port captain on prevention of spills and safety concerns and vessel inspections for USCGAs Captain I conducted required safety drills including those for spills, security, man overboard ,fire ,and Mayday to comply with the standard operating procedures and guidelines for the operation of a safe and environmentally sound vessel, my employment with Kirby ended with the sale of the the inland and coastal divisions.

I was hired to help develop a company & vessel security plan so the company's newest cargo (Ro-Ro vessel) that was en route from Greece so they could enter the ports in Florida. After loading containers and construction equipment I was asked to stay on and sail with the vessels crew as (VSO) vessel security officer and mate we sailed to St Thomas & St John (USVI) and finally to the Caribbean islands of Anguilla.
