The snow specialist main role is to manage the branches entire snow portfolio. Ordering snow material such as salt, calcium, and snow blowers. Allocating equipment to where it was needed, transferring inter-branch as well. Tracking rental equipment. Subcontracted work to vendors. Estimating new snow work, re-bidding existing work, and writing up contract renewals.During this role, I also managed a portfolio of landscape maintenance. Some of the responsibilities are enhancement sales, client relations, scheduling contracted work, and contract renewals

While performing this role I was responsible for 3-5 landscape maintenance crews daily. I worked hand in hand with my direct account manager and branch manager. From scheduling, equipment repair/maintenance, safety, quality control, monitoring job hours, work ticket responses to HOA's, identifying staffing needs, writing up or informing account manager of enhancement opportunities, and developing employee career growth/training. During the snow season, I was responsible for managing subcontractors, transferring equipment for setup such as Skid-steers, ensure proper billing of all contracted work, "ice-watch" following rain or winter snow events. Season to season I was responsible for anywhere from 15-50 employees/subcontractor.During this role I was the branch safety champion. Responsible for leading a stretch and flex every morning, holding weekly sometimes daily safety tailgate talks. This was done to make everyone aware, every day before work, that everyone had the mindset of safety first. If an employee was injured on the job, the branch safety champion would be sure all injury reports were filled out and filed appropriately. Also be sure the employee understood proper protocols, and set up initial occupational doctor appointment.Additionally, during this role, I also was the hiring manager. Through the iCIMS recruiting platform, and several online recruiting adds. The branch hiring manager would discuss staffing needs with the branch manager during weekly branch production meetings. From there I was responsible for making first contact with applicants, setting up and conducting interviews for general labor positions, and specialty positions such as irrigation technicians, foreman, etc.
