I work with a team of educators assisting teachers throughout the Dipont Education network of schools to develop and share their skills. This involves classroom observations, providing feedback, facilitating professional development workshops, organizing the annual Dipont conference, and working one-on-one to support teachers.

Teach IB English, IB Geography, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, and IGCSE English.

Train new TEFL teachers coming to China. Students were certified in the TEFL in China program which is the officially recognized TEFL course certified by the State Administration for Foreign Experts Affairs in China.

Involved in a 100 hour training program for new teachers to China. Language teaching theory and methodology are the focus of the course and it includes a follow-up six month practicum experience for participants. Special attention is placed on teaching in a new cultural environment and adapting to the education system in China.

After 15 years of English language teaching in Canada, I decided to move to China to take up a position at Jilin-Lambton teaching college English courses in Changchun, China.
