Instructor Pilot/Instrument Examiner
Assigned to C Company (MEDEVAC) 3-25 Aviation Regiment. Responsible for training and evaluation of assigned crewmembers on the UH-60M and maintaining the commanders aircrew training program. Instructor Pilot
Direct support to the USAREUR Commander transporting VIP's to multiple countries to support theater operations. UH-60A Blackhawks were specially configured for IFR operations including Universal Navigation Flight Management Systems and color weather radar. Routine missions generally included IFR operations to large international airports across the European theater in moderate icing conditions. Additionally, conducted civilian flight training with the Coleman AeroClub in Cessna 152 and 172's. Training consisted of biannual flight reviews (BFR), private pilot instruction, and local air tours.
General Support Pilot
Pilot assigned to G Co 52 Aviation Regiment located at Stuttgart Army Airfield. Responsible for transporting dignitary and military VIP's to support operations throughout the European theater. Primarily operated UH-60A Blackhawks in the IFR environment using civilian off-the-shelf flight management systems for complex IFR operations. Commander quickly realized my intense motivation and desire to streamline unit operations and appointed me as the Company Supply Officer, a position general allocated for commissioned officers. Within days of assuming the position I recognized multiple errors in the commanders hand receipt along with outdated equipment that was over 30 years old but still accountable. Through tenacious research and networking I turned in all the old equipment significantly streamlining the commanders property book. My attention to detail and devotion to leave the assignment "better than I found it" paid off for a previous commander that was charged several thousand dollars for equipment that was previously unaccounted for. During the certification and turn-in of equipment I located hardware that was previously lost and was able to reverse the charges to the previous commander. After completely revamping unit supply system, legacy equipment was turned in and commanders property book was streamlined simplifying accountability and tracking.
