Currently I am in my third year of being Director of Technology for Saint Rose Elementary School. Under my leadership the school has accomplished the following since my start:Established a 1 to 1 Chromebook computing environment for all students (starting in Kindergarten)Established a Chromebook buy back program for graduating students to better handle inventory flow and purchasing for the schoolAcquired and deployed SmartBoards into all classrooms with administrative managementRolled out the Nearpod application to all teachers and students in response to its partnership with Renaissance, increasing our digital connections and data collectionsEstablished Go-Guardian in the school computing environment to better monitor student activityIncreased database redundancy & syncing operations to better integrate AdminPlus into other online systems (primary online form registrations)Taken over and refaced our school's website for greater search exposure and user functionalityEstablished advanced documentation and procedures for recording of all IT systems and processes (no documentation existed prior to my start)Created and enhanced K-6 technology curriculum to be more modern and competitive (teaching Google certification programs & A.I. as examples)Established a Technology Club where students take a more advanced look to computer repair, coding, and video game building_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Outside of the above, daily I teach K-6 two days a week and the other days I am responsible for all IT processes in the school. This includes assisting 20 staff and 110 students on a daily basis with technology problems and questions (note: I am the lone person in my department so I handle all this myself). Soft skills wise, I am also the key point of contact for families and technology so I service all parents in helping they connect to school resources and access their child's accounts as needed.I also just this year started a Soccer Club for the school which will be the first of its kind here!
