I retired as a partner of Charles Russell Speechlys LLP after playing a key role over twenty years in the growth and success of the Real Estate Disputes Group. The Group is now one of the largest and most well-respected groups in the country, highly ranked by the Legal Directories. During my legal career, I was also instrumental in founding and running two not-for-profit legal associations, being Founder Chair of the Commercial Real Estate Legal Association and a founder member and past Chair of the Property Litigation Association. Both associations promote high standards of practice and education and the PLA holds a highly acclaimed annual Conference. In addition to my contributions to the legal world, I have been pleased to work with professional and charitable bodies in various roles. I am a Freeman of the City of London and Warden of the St Olave's & St Saviour's Schools Foundation, where I am proud to be one of the Trustees of this 461-year-old education funding charity. I am an Ambassador for Zero Gravity, an innovative social enterprise/charity supporting UK state school students from backgrounds which make reaching a top university is far from guaranteed. I am a consultant and an independent Board observer with Richmond Pharmacology Limited. I have excellent collaboration, communication and organisational skills which I am looking forward to contributing in my charitable roles. What’s exciting about my next chapter is the opportunity to work flexibly, allowing time to pursue lifelong interests such as music and tennis and spending more time with family.
