Served as the Federal Magistrate and military’s equivalent of a City Manager for an installation the size of the metropolitan city of Washington DC. Operated an annual budget of $150 million with 80 separate facilities.

Simultaneously with Air Force Officer career, served as fiduciary executive for multimillion-dollar estate and served as CEO for multimillion-dollar executive aircraft leasing company. Successfully led company daily operations along with divestiture of two affiliate corporations. Built valuation strategy, conducted negotiation with a major foreign international corporation; kept multiyear/million-dollar contract viable and executable. Built overall company divesture strategy, and negotiated multimillion-dollar sale of corporation. Reported divesture strategy and business progress to 39 individual and corporate stakeholders.

Served as logistics expert in two key positions providing logistics and supply chain management expertise to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on a broad range of national security and strategic logistics issues. First, served as the Deputy Director for the Joint Logistics Operations Center; the logistics focal point for the Department of Defense and the National Military Command Center, maintaining global situational awareness and providing command and control for rapid crisis/operational response. Then served as a Joint Staff Division Chief leading a team in the identification of gaps in policy, doctrine, and training concerning logistics operations and the use of contractors in contingency operations.

Selected for a rigorous eleven-month graduate degree program at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. The Eisenhower School prepares its graduates to lead strategic institutions and activities associated with the integrated development and resource execution of national security and national defense strategies. Completed extensive courses in national security studies, macro and micro economics, strategy and resourcing, acquisitions, the global industrial base, and strategic leadership.

Southwest Asia

Led a unit of 412 men and women in an austere remote location providing logistics support for combat operations throughout Asia, the Middle East, and the Horn of Africa. Executed supply and fuel support, warehouse operations, materiel management, transportation, inventory management, equipment support, vehicle maintenance, and logistics planning for 8,000 U.S. and coalition personnel and over 100 combat aircraft. Responsible for managing approximately $1 billion in assets; $840 million in supplies/equipment, $117 million in vehicles, $25 million in fuel, and $7 million in personal protective equipment plus a multimillion dollar annual operating budget.

Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal

Commanded a diverse unit of 236 people to include 137 Portuguese national civilians in the logistics planning and operations for a remote base located on a Portuguese island. Planned, executed, and managed all logistics readiness, supply chain operations, for the entire installation. Managed an annual budget of $900,000 and operated 62 different logistics facilities to include the Air Force’s second largest fuel storage system, 65 million gallons worth $134 million. Additionally, responsible for $38 million in vehicles, $47.5 million in equipment assets and 6,000 supply material line-items worth $4 million.
