My responsibilities as a Convergint Business Development Manager require me to develop deliberate vertical market strategies focusing in areas such as petro/chemical, healthcare, industrial, etc. Become an expert in 1-2 specific vertical markets by truly understanding my customers business and the day-to-day challenges they face. Taking a consultative approach, work directly with end-use customers in the area of long-term security planning to develop 3-5 year physical security plans. Secure a minimum of $10-15 million dollars of annual business with new and existing customers. Other Responsibilities include developing a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Recruiting, and hiring Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management. I am also responsible for the performance and development of each Account Executives. Initiating, preparing and coordinating the development of action plans to penetrate new markets. This is done through Collaboration of my Local and Global Convergint Colleagues.

Accountable for the management and handling of all aspects of complex, larger jobs and/or multiple projects with little or no direction/supervision, including estimating, design, tracking, start up and planning phases. May also provide ‘trouble shooting’ support to other departments/jobs.

To plan, schedule, organize and direct, application engineering, field installation and start-up of assigned projects and ensure projects are effectively executed to budgeted cost and time schedules. To act as key interface with the customer and maximize customer satisfaction. To ensure positive cash flow on all assigned projects.

Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction. Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments. Install and maintain electrical control systems and solid state equipment. Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations. Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results. Collaborate with other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
