I'm Robert Hooks and I'm a Licensed Insurance Agent with HealthMarkets. I began my adulthood in the workforce and enlisted in the US Armed Forces as a soldier in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer where I worked at a nuclear weapons facility for two years. The military then offered me a promotion opportunity to Sergeant and a bonus to switch my specialty to Correctional Officer. I did that and was immediately sent to Fort Leavenworth KS to the military's only maximum security prison at the United States Disciplinary Barracks. I served four years there then flew to South Korea for one year to work in a military jail. From there I proceeded back to Fort Leavenworth KS for an additional four years. I concluded my military career of 11 years in Ft Leavenworth KS. I was hired on with the federal government as a Correctional Officer, worked for 21 years and retired as a Lieutenant. Once retired I worked with US Marshals Service as an Aviation Security Officer for 18 months where we transported inmates to and from various US airports (Con Air). I concluded my federal law enforcement career after 34 years and went on to work in the automotive industry. I was hired as an Automotive Salesperson with Fowler Honda of Norman OK where I was the leading sales consultant for three years. At the age of 56, my schedule was a bit demanding being away from my family and I decided to get into business for myself as an Independent Sales Agent with HealthMarkets. As you can see, I strongly believe in protecting and servicing others. I'm all about strong ethics and the value of family.
