Trainer, assessor and lead assessor on the fibre network, lead assessor in N31 and N23, assessor in N27, N39, M23, K6 and K9 able to run courses on SA001, SA002 and SA006, working towards my lead assessor in K9 and assessor accreditations in N34 and N28. Fibre splicer, able to build spine agg nodes, pon splitter nodes and cmj nodes on Openreach’s overhead and UG network. Complete fast tests on splitter sasa’s using fast test or the OTH on CBT, check light levels at sasa and cbts and record on LLR. Able to fault find any light issues or cross connections in the network using red light pen, toner and OTDR. Able to complete OCR head end work in an exchange. Very good understanding of FNCs and able to work around issues when planned incorrectly and work around problems from broken fibres or incorrect fibre splicing from previous builds. Carry our on site risk assessment and record appropriately. Train other colleagues on all aspects of build, splicing and testing.

Working on spines, planning and programming the build of the spine, tracing and fault finding high loses within the network using an OTDR, toner and power meter, finding and sorting cross connections using a live fibre detector and red light source, checking the quality of the build and sorting build issues and FNC issues. Also working on PON builds helping to teach new starters with quality, build standards, toggle test and OTH test procedures. Working in the exchange on OCR head ends completing jumping, WDM tray splicing and installing hydra cables for new connections.

Lead engineer. Testing off built pons, completing quality checks before signing off for Openreach commissioning. Fault finding in the network and assisting in training of other team members.

Co company director. Overseeing all work aspects of work distribution to cabling and splicing teams. Complete in-house training for teams or book training off site where needed, keep records of training. Complete sign off sheets for teams and pay wages. Sort issues with build and quality on PONS. Have weekly meetings with client on delivery progress and give ECDS for delivery. Go to site and build Openreach network, completing OH and UG cabling, splicing and testing.

Overseeing distribution of work loads to 30+ engineers in my team. Trouble shooting issues for installations on copper network. Completing BAU van and tooling audits monthly on 120+ engineers in Wessex area.

Installation and reconnection of copper phone lines. Connect customers onto Openreach network either by supplying a new connection or reconnect at the PCP. Complete a fast test on connection. Fit a BT socket or refresh the face plate and check connection.
