I have over 20 years of experience as a synthetic organic chemist. My experience includes industrial process research in the pharmaceutical industry and pesticide/herbicide industry. My responsibilities are primarily process development and process optimization. I also have a focus on implementation of in-process analytical technology for production processes. In all of my years in industry, I have been available for 24-hour on-call support for processing issues as well as potential hazardous release situations. As a technical expert for chemical processing, I constantly interact with regulatory agencies, external customers and the community to ensure high-quality, safe and responsible manufacturing operations.I hold a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. My thesis work concentrated on synthetic approaches to fullerenes and out-of-plane twisted polycyclic aromatic compounds.I have a certification as a HAZMAT technician and a license for Medical First Responder, and I am committed to safety in the industrial workplace. I have also volunteered to mentor high school students who focus in research as part of a community outreach program where I have learned by teaching in areas of food science, environmental research and analytical chemistry.I would be a resourceful addition to any manufacturer of chemical compounds with a strong focus on compliance, safety, supply assurance and community outreach.
