Executive Director/CEO, DAKOTABILITIES, Inc., Sioux Falls, SD 2007 – presentA fifty-two year old South Dakota, community-based training, residential & vocational services organization for people with all forms of developmental disabilities such as traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, autism, intellectual disability, etc. The organization is a not for profit corporation and is nationally certified by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL). Services are provided in day services, day community services, residential group home, supervised apartments, integrated residential and vocational training settings. Across the spectrum of medical needs, DakotAbilities’ 125-units serve the most medically needy clientele with more than 2,600 medication passes each day. Services are provided at two vocational work sites, nineteen residential sites, and multiple community-based work sites across the Sioux Falls community. The organization has 240 employees, 125-units of residential services (operating at capacity), and annual revenues of $11 million.

A fifty-two year old South Dakota hospital and educational facility, with an independent medical staff of 65 physicians, 400 employees, 114 beds, and annual revenues of $28 million. Children’s Care also has a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) foundation and a taxable not-for-profit durable medical equipment company. Services include rehabilitative and medical needs for children with multiple disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, behavioral disorders, as well as special education services not available through local school systems.
