• Biological Sampling (otolith/vertebrae/genetic) of groundfish and shellfish in support of NOAA’s Northeast Fishery Science Center’s population assessments of assorted groundfish/shellfish stocks. • Data entry to database and support for samples gathered. -Octocoral species identification using SEM micrographs- Captive Seagrass density study/comparison to natural field densities-ex-situ coral survey utilizing PAR measurements to facilitate coral health, with emphasis on Acroporid species.-husbandry and growth analysis of Atlantic corals, including both native Acroporids in captive environment.

-Responsible for the husbandry of all specimens contained within 7 major and 12 minor exhibits, as well as data entry and problem solving.-performed chemical analysis of all water parameters-assisted with the collection, identification and acclimation of new species to be put on exhibit-coordinated with the education department and interacted in an outreach capacity with the general public to communicate the efforts of the Smithsonian.
