Skills/AbilitiesI have an excellent working knowledge of distribution and sub-transmission electrical systems here at BG&E. I have effectively and economically led complex construction jobs my entire career, from 4 kV to 13 kV conversion work to secondary open and closed delta jobs. I have worked reactive work my entire career, from network fires to vault and manhole explosions. All worked confidently and in a professional manner. I have a very good working knowledge of URD Systems; I have experience with all types of pad mounted equipment, buried cable applications and fault locating procedures associated with buried and duct line faults.I have a very good working knowledge of the AC Network System; I’ve been involved with all of the PCB change outs over the years, buss and limiter inspections, protector and relay inspections, and clearing up the network for fault locating purposes.I am very proficient in all areas of splicing and terminating, I’m also up to date on all old and current technologies that are available on the distribution system. I’ve effectively led people at every level of my career; I have done so with integrity and managerial courage. I also was a team lead and trainer for the first UGL contractors on BG&E system. I trained members from various unions from across the country and established the foundation for a viable contractor work force here at BG&E.I have very good communication skills, I’m a very good teacher and I believe in getting the most out of each individual as possible.I’m currently working as an engineering analyst for our Engineering and Standards Team; I have been working with our sister utilities finding ways to better our systems through best practices and resource sharing. Updating and revising our Standards Books, working with vendors on new products, and failure analyst on items from the field.I also provide support as a Subject Matter Expert on new and revised Work Practices.
