My name is Dr. Robert J. Stanley and I am a dentist based in Cary, North Carolina. My journey to becoming a dentist was unique. Before I became a dentist I pursued and completed a P.H.D. in Mechanical Engineering from N.C. State. Afterwards I decided to follow my wife and grandfather’s example and become a dentist. Because of this unique combination of engineering and dentistry I developed the identity known as the Smile Engineer.My speciality is guided implant dentistry — a field that requires both precision and skill. To share my knowledge with other dentists, I founded the Stanley Institute – a dental continuing education institution – with my wife Dr. Bobbi Stanley. Through this institute we teach best practices regarding implant dentistry and share tips that help dentists provide the highest level of care to their patients. My passion is not only to be a practitioner, but also an educator. I’m dedicated to improving dental care in my community and beyond, by making sure my colleagues are equipped with the right tools and expertise to perform their job well. I frequently lecture across the country and I’m honored to have been featured in numerous dental publications.As a dentist, I enjoy the privilege of being able to help people restore and improve their smiles. Every day, my team and I strive to make sure our patients feel comfortable and confident in their new smile by providing them with the best possible care available.
