Responsible for management of Nanometrics team which develops and supports products belonging to Malvern's Zetasizer range of instruments. This included the line management of a small multi-disciplinary team and the identification of new product concepts to developed in collaboration with Product marketing.

Lead member of development team to create next generation portfolio of instrumentation for the Nanometrics portfolio. The instrument range has become one of Malvern's best selling instruments, seeing sales triple within the first few years of its launch. My particular contribution was the Scientific input into the product and the development of data processing algorithms in both application software and firmware together with the development and implementation of new scientific models.

Development of enhanced instrumentation for the Dispersion Technology range of instrumentation which included new additions to the portfolio and improvements using new technologies to the existing range. Developed new small footprint, low cost auto-correlator using fixed point Digital Signal Processors (Analogue Devices). Developed novel algorithms for an Ultrasonic extinction measurement reducing execution time from days to minutes.
