Responsibilities:• Manage the total engineering change program for the ANZAC Class ship including over 120 projects with a team of 20 people.• Integrating the sustainment engineering change program with the Major and Minor Capital Acquisition Projects.• Provide Level 2 Engineering Authority for the acceptance of technical decisions and risk in the area of combat and communications systems.• Development of asset management plans for the ANZAC Class Ship and associated Shore Facilities. • Preparing budgets, managing the schedule, program performance monitoring and associated risks with a 10 year horizon for the ANZAC SPO.• Providing Asset management leadership into the development of a new Alliance for the delivery of sustainment management to the ANZAC Class assets. Achievements:• Provided project directorship of the Platform System Remediation Project for the ANZAC Class through the project initiation and feasibility study phase.• Re-developed the engineering change process and change managed the implementation into the ANZAC SPO.• Developed the ANZAC Class Integrated Master Schedule to support the project planning, performance monitoring, budget management and workforce assignment across the ANZAC Class change program.• Provided Level 2 Engineering coverage for the ASMD upgrade, ANZAC Multi Link Upgrade, Control and Monitoring Obsolescence Replacement and ANZAC Class Electronic Support Capability Upgrade though design and ship installation.

Responsibilities:• Engineering Manager and Design Acceptance Representative for the upgrade and integration to the ANZAC Ship Combat System. This includes assessing the risk associated with project delivering against the contract specification, technical performance and system safety.• Engineering Manager for the Commonwealth procurement of the Phased Array Radar.• Lead the project risk management process for the Commonwealth. • Preparing budgets, managing the schedule, project performance monitoring and reporting to upper management project status.• Assess ongoing project performance using earned value management techniques for schedule and cost for the projects assigned.Achievements:• Delivered the ASMD upgrade to the first ANZAC Class ship in 2011 including guiding the Phased Array Radar from developmental to a production system.• Project was awarded a AIPM Project Management Award in 2011.• Project awarded ADM Lewis Essington Award in 2011

Responsibilities:• Managed projects assigned including technical management and project performance.• Provided Level 3 Combat System Engineering Authority for the ANZAC Class Ship Combat System engineering decisions.• Assisted the Combat System Manager in the development and monitoring of Combat System Section budgets.Achievements:• Delivered three Combat Management System Software upgrade projects.

Responsibilities:• Management of the ANZAC Class system specifications, including configuration management across all ANZAC Ship projects.• Development of the Electrical and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning margin management of the ANZAC Class.Achievements:• Developed the quality processes for the ANZAC Class Requirements Management Framework.

Responsibilities:• Risk management coordinator for the platform system section for the project;• Development of the top level specifications for both combat and platform systems; • Planning and implementing the RFT for engaging a classification society for the project; • Researching current and future platform control system technologies.Achievements:• Project managed the tendering process that selected and negotiated the contract for classification society support to the Air Warfare Destroyer project.

Completed three engineering job placements within the DMO as follows:• Joint Project 2047 assisting the project manager through the testing phase of the project to upgrade the Defence Wide Area Network;• ANZAC Ship Alliance developing the project and engineering workflow process for major and minor projects in accordance with the EIA/IS 632 Systems Engineering Standard; and• Submarine Project Management and Platform Systems undertaking capability upgrades to the Collins Class submarine platform systems and combat systems, in particular a project to upgrade the Global Positioning System on the submarines.
