Currently, I divide my time between Aventura, Florida and Panama City, Republic of Panama. In the past I was the creator and manager of Panama City Congregation Kol Shearith Israel, Jewish Literature Book Club: "Living As a Jew in The Caribbean and Latin America". Along with Lyanne Lindo Wassermann we launched the Panama Jewish Oral History Project to record interviews of the descendants of Spanish and Portuguese Jews whom after escaping the Inquisition eventually settled in Panama. Also I am working to digitize important congregational and Panama Jewish community historical documents. Lyanne and I have also founded the Panama Jewish Archives and MuseumAdditionally, I am the chair of the International Advisory Council of the Sousa Mendes Foundation, named after Dr. Aristides de Sousa Mendes, a Righteous who issued visas to those escaping Nazi forces advancement in France, where he was Consul General in Bordeaux. www.sousamendesfoundation.org. I also function as the distributor of the docudrama-Disobedience: The Sousa Mendes Story on behalf of the Foundation.
