As the Director of Financial Reporting, I am responsible for maintaining the general ledger and the preparation of monthly financial statements, including analysis of budget variances. I also manage cash and corporate investment accounts, work with external auditors during annual audits of financial statements, prepare Form 990, non-profit tax returns, for Menorah Park and several affiliated foundations and assist in the preparation of Medicaid and Medicare cost reports.

As the Assistant Controller, I assisted the corporate controller with general ledger maintenance and entry of journal entries. I also maintained fixed asset depreciation schedules, prepared monthly departmental budget analysis and bi-weekly payroll reports for department managers. I assisted in preparation of annual budgets and worked with the Menorah Park Foundation, the fundraising organization for Menorah Park, to provide annual reports on donor restricted funds and investments.

As the Accounting Manager, I supervised the Accounts Payable and Payroll departments. My team was responsible for preparing in-house, bi-weekly payroll for 1,200 employees. I prepared all required tax deposits and filed quarterly payroll tax returns with the IRS. Completed year end reconciliations for federal, state, and local taxing districts and filed W-2s.

As Accounting Manager, I was responsible for maintaining the general ledger system for one of Ohio’s largest managed care companies. I was also responsible for financial reporting, tax return preparation and governmental reporting. I had direct supervision of the Accounts Payable and Payroll departments and managed cash and corporate investment accounts.

As a Staff Accountant, my responsibilities encompassed all phases of accounting and financial reporting for a prestigious CPA firm. Compilation, review and audit of financial statements, focused on closely held smaller companies. Prepared federal, state, and local tax returns for more than 100 clients.
