I have provided speech therapy services in the skilled nursing environment as well as the home health setting focusing on the geriatric population since 1998. Extensive experience dealing with the multitude of medical issues that can arise in the geriatric population and how they can impact their swallowing and communication functions. In addition, I have provided speech therapy services to adult and geriatric populations in the acute care setting as well as outpatient, hospice and palliative care since 2001. This has allowed the ability to provide a continuum of care for patients which has provided the opportunity for improved outcomes. One of the first clinicians to receive certification in the use of VitalStim therapy. In addition to a practicing Speech Pathologist, I am an Independent Licensed Insurance agent focusing on Medicare and Life Insurance products. I am able to use my extensive healthcare background to help guide clients towards insurance plans that provide the coverage they need in a way that simplifies the process.
