I graduated from the Royal Agricultural College (now University) in 1982, having studied Rural Estate Management and qualified as a rural practice Chartered Surveyor in 1984. I spent 30 years in private practice - 27 years as a partner/member in my own firm, a 7 office practice with 3 agricultural markets. Clients included The Secretary of State for Wales, The Welsh Assembly Government, The Welsh Development Agency, The Church in Wales, Monmouth Diocesan Board, Newport City Council, Monmouthshire County Council, Torfaen Borough Council, National Grid, Welsh Water, British Dredging and individuals such as Sir Stanley Thomas and the late Lord Raglan I was Finance Director of the National Homes Network for 16 years and Chairman from 2008 to 2010. I am a retired Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a former RICS accredited Registered Valuer and a Member of the Royal Agricultural College
