Rob has worked in the Resource sector in the Mechanical Engineering field for over 25 years and has operated as a successful consultant to the mining industry in Western Australia. Originally trained as an Aircraft Engineer for British Aerospace he has always wanted to incorporate the light weight, high strength technology of composite panels as used in aircraft, into an airtight building system.From early development work in South Africa to product testing in Australia From early in the 1970s Rob recognised the importance of cost effective environmental construction and over those years, he has been studying, testing and working with different types of panel production, building systems and methods.Rob has over 10 years experience in building with engineered SIP panels and associated building methods and is working to improve the quality, the service and acceptance of “Sandwich Panels” in the building industry.Rob has understood new building technology will lead to a better way to build that is affordable and sustainable.
