After almost 12 years as a Principal and the National Sports Practice Leader with Cannon Design, I decided it was time to seek new adventures and opportunities. Retaining my enthusiasm and excitement for sport architecture, I have formed a new sport design and consulting practice, JSA Sport Architecture Inc. With a number of long standing colleagues and sport design experts joining me in the new venture, the future is bright and exciting. Our services include sport facility architectural design and planning, Games and special event planning and sports surfacing consulting. Our team members have well over 20 years of individual experience. We look forward to maintaining our valued existing client relationships as well as developing and growing new ones.

The Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association has a network of seven chapters located in Moscow, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary Vancouver and Almaty, and a membership base of over 200 corporations and individuals in a wide range of sectors. National Sport Practice Leader

Johnston Sport Architecture Inc. (JSA) was an architectural firm that specialized in sport and recreational facility design. We merged with Cannon Design in October, 2001.

Victoria, British Columbia

In collaboration with senior Organizing Committee leadership, responsible for developing the Games venue plan and managed and led the design phase for Saanich Commonwealth Place - the aquatics venue for the Commonwealth Games, the Juan de Fuca Velodrome and Lawn Bowls Complex and the University of Victoria Centennial Stadium renovations.

Responsible for planning and managing all operations functions within the Olympic Village including security, accreditation, media and broadcast, materials management, transportation, etc. The portfolio included the coordinating the activities of over 600 of the Village volunteers (who saved our bacon!)

Project Manager and the University in-house sport consultant for the design of the Olympic Oval, Physical Education Building Expansion (Kinesiology B-block) and the Olympic Village housing.
