After starting on the Service Desk in 2020,I was able to move into positions that allowed me to take on project management and planning work while doing tickets. This exposed me to a wide range of technologies, concepts, and practices, like containerization, APIS, and different database types, including document databases and SQL databases. Ending up in the Business Operations role, I was responsible for vendor management, platform configuration, and writing and maintaining technical and contract (SLA/SOW) documentation for both our direct client and vendors for on-boarding and implementation challenges for the platforms we were using. During this role, I put into practice my communication, planning, and stakeholder management skill, along with a lot of independent research skills for the platforms we were using to pass onto our vendors.

Helped clients with financial needs, such as opening credit cards, investing in RRSP's/TFSA, opening new accounts or memberships, and resolving charge disputes, while maintaining, and exceeding, sales targets.

Working at McDonalds was a key, formative experience for me. Moving up from a crew member to the manager that would be dropped into problem stores to fix them, i was able to develop a strong set of soft skills. It was the start of me learning to work with people with a variety of wants, needs, and cultural backgrounds and influences. Moving up to management was easily the best choice I made, as not only did it help give me exposure to many parts of running a business, it also introduced to me the concept of management as a puzzle that needs to be solved, rather than just paperwork that needs to be done. Having to manage different skills and business needs was by far the most satisfying part of the job.
