He was responsible for asset management, including active management of the portfolio and management of any outsourced investment managers, rating agency reporting and NAIC risk capital management, asset liability management, data collection and reporting and cash management, including treasury and custodial functions.Some highlights include being:Global Head of Credit at GB Capital, an outsourced alternative advisor to a US Insurance carrierA member of the US team responsible for building out the direct lending effort and raising the first US Institutional Credit Fund at Intermediate Capital Group.One of the original founding partners of Fifth Street Capital, where he raised several funds including taking the last fund public in a BDC format.A founding member of the Merchant Bank team at Orix USA Inc. Robert has a BA in Economics from Yale University, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.He is also an elite level Ironman athlete, outdoor adventure enthusiast, avid reader and watch collector.
