At this time I worked for the Swedish company Astra Pharmaceuticals which merged with Zeneca Plc in April 1999 and went through a merger process.

Here I worked as a Technician and studied part-time for a Master of Philosophy with the Department of Paediatrics, which later became known as the Department of Child Health under Professor Stuart Tanner.

Huntingdon Life Sciences has since merged with Harlan Labs etc in Sept 2015 to form Envigo.

DS- Chemie was plastic, latex and sealant company and was spun off. The Cuxhavener Str site is long since closed.
