I am a CIT Networking major who has been passionate about new and emerging technology my entire life. This passion led me to pursue a career in IT. I am currently employed at McMillan IT Engineering as an IT Technical Support Specialist. I love the new challenges brought forth each day on the job, and I could not ask for a better work environment. In our office, we are encouraged to learn and grow, and are often given opportunities to work on systems outside the normal scope of helpdesk technicians. I have assisted Engineers with network overhauls and set up ESXi devices to run backups. I spend 2 weeks a month at a Global Manufacturing plant (Fresno Site) as the only on-site IT staff. In this role, I get to inventory incoming equipment, image and deploy devices to staff, AD & O365 administration, and ensure the production floor equipment such as scanners, printers, LVS cameras and PCs (XP,Windows 8, Windows 10) are all online and working. Additionally, I have to assist with their Citrix environment to ensure necessary apps like Bartender is working, as well as ensuring users Hubble and E1 (JD Edward’s) accounts are unlocked.
