Galveston Tx Marine Corps Reserve Training Center

-Supervise all aspects of command; legal, administrative, training, logistics,communications, and personnel readiness for Select Marine Corps Reserve , Active Reserve, Active Duty Marines and Sailors at a remote 44 acre Marine Corps Reserve Training Center,.-Responsible for instituting and executing internal inspection procedures across all staff functional areas.-Responsible for implementing mobilization procedures for the SMCR ensuring they meet all higher headquarters policies.-Promote the Marine Corps within the community by supporting local outreach events, Toys for Tots, service related volunteer organizations, Recruiting Station Houston's mission, CACO,and funerals details.-Responsible for implementing all fiscal activities to include budget expenditures and reporting.

Camp Pendleton Ca

- Responsible for building, training, and employing a company of three Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) platoons and one AAV maintenance platoon in support of Battalion and Division tasked events and training, major conventional exercises, and deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in a provisional infantry role as directed.-Accountable for maintenance management of 46 AAVs and for a supply account in excess of $71million.-Responsible for the operational and administrative control of 5 Marine Officers and 195 Marine and Navy enlisted.-Train towards an increased level of technical and tactical individual/unit proficiency using NAVMC 3500.2 AAV T&R Manual/MCWP 3-13 Employment of AAVs.-Serve as a special staff officer at the battalion or regimental level, participating as a planner for mechanized operations and amphibious landings, and coordinate logistic support for the AAV Company when attached to a battalion or regiment.

Ft Knox, Ky

- The US Army Maneuver Captain Career Course (MCCC) mission is to prepare students for the leadership, training, and administrative requirements of a successful company commander and for the execution of the tactical planning responsibilities of battalion operations.- Train captains in the Art and Science of Combined Arms Battle Command and battle staff leadership across the full spectrum of operations within contemporary operational environments.- While assigned at MCCC I filled the Executive Officer's billet for my small group. * The Maneuver Captains Career Course was transferred to Ft Benning, GA.

Iraq

- Serve as the Operations Officer for Military Transition Team (MiTT) 0722; plan and coordinate all MiTT operations through both the partnered unit and advisor chains, oversee the preparation of consolidated reports, develop and update MiTT specific tactical procedures.- Serve as the Maneuver Advisor to 2d Bn, 2d Bde, 7th Iraqi Army (IA) Division; train, advise, and oversee the functioning of the Operations Section, coordinate Iraqi tactical actions with Coalition Forces in the area.- Serve as MiTT Executive Officer; assume Team Chief duties in his absence, consolidate staff actions, develop schedules and oversee the operation of the MiTT Combat Operations Center.- Research, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of plans to improve training readiness of the Iraqi battalion- Research, coordinate, and implement plans to partner the Iraqi battalion with Coalition Forces in order to support counterinsurgency operations.- Serve as a Convoy or Mission Commander during combined IA/MiTT Convoys. Be prepared to assume any billet within the convoy.

Kaneohe Bay, Hi

- Responsible for building, training, and deploying the Assault Amphibian and Combat Engineer Platoons for combat support missions in support of the regiment.- Accountable for the maintenance and maintenance administration of the company's organic ordnance and communications equipment, including 16 Amphibious Assault Vehicles, 19 pieces of Engineer and Motor Transport Equipment.- Advise the Regimental Commander on amphibious and mechanized operations as well as Combat Engineer employment in mobility, counter-mobility, and survivability missions.- Accountable for the administrative oversight for 5 Marine Officers and 155 Marine and Navy Enlisted.- Exercise fiscal responsibility per Division/Regimental guidance.- Exercise Administrative control over Regimental Schools Permanent Personnel.

- Coordinates plan and execute the DCG/CG schedule.- Coordinate travel arraignments, itinerary, documentation, and communications needs for all official visits.- Coordinate logistical and administrative requirements associated with the DCG/CG participation in various II MEF and 2d MEB exercises and operational deployment preparations.- Coordinate DCG/CG’s communication and connectivity needs.- Coordinate with II MEF and 2d MEB staffs on all briefing, meetings, and conferences.- Direct, mentor, and supervise the DCG/CG’s driver.

Campe Lejeune, Nc

- Coordinate, plan, and support 2d Marine Division in mechanized and amphibious operations.- Provide guidance to supported battalion and MAGTF commanders on tactical employment, capabilities, and logistical requirements, of the Assault Amphibian Company.- Train, mentor, and supervise the assault amphibian platoon commander, platoon sergeant, section leader, and vehicle commander in standard operating procedures, safe operation, and maintenance of the assault amphibian unit.- Qualify and sustain vehicle crews on the annual AAV upgunned weapons station gunnery and functional MOS requirements.- Oversee post OIF reconstitution efforts (maintenance, logistics, and accountability) of 46 AAV’s and all associated SL-3 equipment.

- Assault Amphibian Officer Course is a comprehensive formal school for an AAV platoon commander/1803.- The Course provides instruction in the leadership skills and tactical knowledge required to serve as a speacil staff officer and AAV platoon Commander.- Students are trained in data/discription, communications, mechanized tactics, amphibious operations, gunnery, and maintenance management for the employment of the AAVP7A1.
