The Great Walks of Tasmania is a venture between seven independent walking companies who have reached excellence in providing guided walks; Cradle Mountain Huts walk, Freycinet Experience, Tasmanian Expeditions, Maria Island Walk, Tarkine Trails, Bay of Fires Lodge Walk and The Bruny Island Long Weekend. They have joined forces to showcase Tasmania’s unique style of welcoming, sophisticated, experiential wilderness walking.

The Tasmanian Guide Agency’s vision is to raise the professional standard of tour guiding across the Tasmanian tourism industry. Our vision is to challenge the paradigm of the way the guiding profession is viewed by industry, government and guides towards a profession that is an integral part of tourism experiences and a desirable, long-term career prospect. TGA offers three services:1) Providing professional local guides for Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs) and other organisations to deliver their programs in Tasmania2) Recruitment and temp agency for local tour operators & educational outdoor providers such as schools 3) Consultancy: reviewing, designing, implementing and staffing interpretive guiding programs for both new and existing local businesses.
