I am a physician scientist with a doctor of medicine (M.D.) and philosophy (Ph.D.) from Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to this, I completed undergraduate studies at Yale University graduating with honors. For my PhD, I focused on hepatitis B virus (HBV), inventing new animal models and therapies. Clinically, I trained at Johns Hopkins in clinical pathology and in transfusion medicine and cell therapy at Harvard.I have a long-standing interest in cell and gene therapy, with a focus on immunotherapy. I have experience in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, DNA transposons, CRISPR, and in designing novel antibodies and cytokines. I also have a passion for biotech industry and entrepreneurship, and have consulted for biotech companies in the past and am always interested in new opportunities and collaborations.
