After 25 years of service, I am retiring from the U.S. Air Force Medical Service, and I am ready to start the next chapter of my life. I am looking for a health care company that is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a safe and reliable way. I particularly value compassion and the ability to provide assistance to under-served populations.As a chief medical officer for the past six years, I have developed talents and gained experience in management. I understand the language and thought processes of both clinical doctors and health care executives. I bridge the gap between these groups. I am a Certified Physician Executive I champion the principles of High Reliability Organizations.I am adept at conflict management.I have served on or led seven medical humanitarian missions to underdeveloped countries in Latin America and Africa.In 2009, I deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan where I served as the sole Air Force Pediatrician at the theater hospital.I have published nine scholarly or research papers in medical literature and have given eleven invited presentations.Besides English, I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and can effectively communicate in Italian.
