Led the original build of the company’s ERM and Control programs and presently oversee both, which continue to benchmark well and remain fully embraced by executive leaders and the board. The Control program, initially focused on internal control over financial reporting and SOX compliance, coordination with auditors, and ensuring the dispersion of accountability of controls across various levels in finance and operations areas. This was extended to non-financial controls across various operations areas, and more recently has entailed advising on the design and implementation of policy and controls associated with the company’s AI Program, Sustainability and Climate-related disclosure requirements. The ERM program promotes a culture of risk awareness across the Company’s business, operations, and support functions, and is actively overseen by the board and managerially driven by executive leadership through me. The program is integrated into the company’s governance, performance management, and control frameworks and entails a formal and continuous risk assessment process enabling management to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and manage both identified and emerging risks that are influenced by internal and external conditions that could significantly impact business strategy and performance.
