Direction and oversight of Design and Construction and Property Management Departments which includes a 14-person construction division, Assistant Director and Architects; Attends meetings with officials of other City of Philadelphia Departments ; Seeks funding and projects from various City agencies to engage both staff of Design & Construction Department and Maintenance Division; Directs and manages Housing Construction Contracts, Building Stabilization & Abatement Contracts, Demolition Contracts, Professional Service Contracts: (Environmental Remediation, Site Survey, Construction Monitoring); Lead Applicant and manager of 2015 EPA Brownfield Grant of $200,000 for hazardous sites. PRA, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability (MOS), Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR), and the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) to use grant to assess sites for the potential redevelopment of community gardens, urban agriculture, and/or green stormwater infrastructure. Represents the PRA at arbitrations and depositions.

Participates in interpreting and defining broad policies and programs as outlined by the AuthorityBoard of Directors and Development staff and translates these objectives into research andplanning assignments. Assists in coordinating activities with other City, State and Federalagencies in planning and developing project areas including determining and justifying proposedland use, proposed zoning, development controls and restrictions on land uses; conducts meetings and assists with the coordination of Project Manager activities related to engineers, appraisers, attorneys, architects and other specialists in settling problems and resolving questions in interpreting renewal and redevelopment plans with developers and their technical staff; makes work assignments to subordinate planning personnel to insure integrated, coherent and comprehensive planning. Also coordinates the disposition resolutions; attends public hearings; answers general information request and direst community relations for project areas.

Manage multiple Urban Renewal projects throughout Center City, University City and North Philadelphia. Coordinate activities involved in obtaining governmental approvals for projects. Direct Urban Renewal projects from the planning stage, through the acquisition, disposition and development of land.Prepare Urban Renewal Proposals, board packages, redevelopment agreements, city council packages, certificate of completions and RFP’s. Organize and attend meeting with CDCs, private developers and governmental officials.
