Mr. Lang is a businessman and racing sailor. He is the owner and founder of Adriatic Challenge maritime company. Between 2000 and 2003 he was the owner and managing director of Lang Ltd., a leading Hungarian automotive parts company. At the same time he was Member of the Board at RIAGH Group. Between 1998 and 2000 he completely rebuilt the legendary cruiser Nemere II. Lang Ltd. started as a ‘garage shop’ and in a few years it became a company with billion forint revenue employing more than 300 people. In 1998 the Goldman Sachs Inc. and CVC Capital partners, which had interest in Formula 1 and was part of the multinational market of auto parts, purchased 51% of the stocks. Following this transaction the Lang Ltd. became part of RHIAG Group, which was presented in 8 countries in Europe. In 2004 Robert Lang sold his minority shares and he got one of the 100 richest men in Hungary.In the same year he decided that his passion would be his work and he started his sailing business. The Adriatic Challenge was among the first ones in the world which had one-design fleet with large number of cruisers (20 pcs). As one of the leading regatta organizers the company offers themed races, team buildings and cruising holidays.
