Managed water and sewer related construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services for the construction of Korean Veterans Boulevard from 4th Avenue South to 8th Avenue South. This project included water and sewer infrastructure to support the new $500M Nashville Convention Center including water mains up to 36-inch diameter and gravity sewers up to 12-inch diameter. Work included shop drawing review and approval. Periodic inspection of installation and testing of utilities.

Primary author of the condition Assessment report for Nashville MWS Central WWTP North and South Grit and Primary Clarifier Processes. The report identified immediate, short-term and long-term improvements for these critical unit processes and involved comprehensive assessment of all equipment associated with these facilities.

Marketed Garver Water services throughout Tennessee service area. Led the process design of wastewater solids handling upgrades to the Muscle Shoals WWTP and the Huntsville Spring Branch WWTP including solids holding, thickening, dewatering, anaerobic digestion and offload. Managed the emergency A/E services for the repair of the access road washed away during the May 2010 floods. The project study included an assessment of damages, an array of repair alternatives including costs, and recommendation of repair.

Project Engineer responsible for the implementation of the Long Range Biosolids Management Plan and assisted in the selection of a Design-Build contractor for the Central WWTP Biosolids Facility project. Project includes administration of Design-Build for the Central WWTP Biosolids Facility consisting of DAF thickening, anaerobic digestion, centrifuge dewatering and heat drying. Construction administration phase service for the Dry Creek facility improvements project consisting of upgrades to the influent pump station, new wet weather pumping station and connection to equalization basin, headworks improvements, aeration basin improvements, thickening, dewatering, new anaerobic digestion facility, and new biofilter odor control consisted of thickening and dewatering improvements and new anaerobic digestion facility. The Biosolids Management Project had a program budget of $155 million.

Solids Project Manager for the $550 Million rehabilitation of the Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant. In this role, Mr. Lantz managed from project conception through design and construction approximately $75 Million in constructed upgrades, including: centrifuge dewatering improvements, Central Offload Facility, multiple-hearth sludge incinerator improvements, scum concentration and collection improvements.Contributor to the solids master plan for the Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant. The plan included evaluation of future solids loading, the ability of existing dewatering and incineration facilities to process future loadings, the condition of existing dewatering and incineration equipment, and finally the development of a capital improvements program of short and long-term projects that permit the DWWTP to effectively process solids throughout the capital improvements period and beyond.
