Manages a variety of complex requests from multiple internal and external customers while ensuring easy and seamless access to physicians, nurses, employees, patients, programs and services. Serves as the single point of contact for internal and external customers. Insures appropriate access to the Temple Access Center and to the physicians, nurses, employees, patients, programs and services. Handles requests through various channels such as phone, fax, email and Internet. Multitasks across numerous databases simultaneously including physician referral database, Call Management System, electronic medical records (Epic) and various other scheduling applications (Medicall) and reference databases in order to perform daily function (Amion). Generates written correspondences to patients and physicians on a daily basis via mail, fax or email. Provides appropriate and clinically relevant information/instructions as well as pertinent insurance information. Facilitates requests within the designated timeframes based on clinical urgency as defined per protocol. Maintains thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and ensures notification of proper personnel for emergency situations. Assures database compliance and integrity with data collection and data entry into multiple databases and electronic patient records.Maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times. Complies with departmental protocols, policies and procedures.
