Over 40 years of experience in welding engineering and mechanical engineering, which included working for a welding research organization, materials laboratory, major oil pipeline company, and major gas pipeline company. Extensive experience with industry standards, having been involved with CSA Z662, Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems, and API 1104, Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities, where I am the co-chair of Welding Procedures Subcommittee.I have a good understanding of pipeline inspection systems and repair methods. Developed guidelines for reporting anomalies that has been modified over the years to accurately record features found during excavations.Much of my recent experience has focussed on welding procedures for pipeline construction, with particular emphasis on mechanized welding systems.One of my strongest skills is being able to edit technical documents to make them more readable and easy to understand. This includes industry standards, i.e. API 1104, and proprietary Company Specifications.
