The Police ICT Company was established in April 2015 to encourage Policing towards a more consistent and cost effective use of ICT. Establishing standards to apply to all Policing (and other Law Enforcement/CJ) Systems is a fundamental part of driving wider collaboration, more interoperability "out of the box" between different supplier's systems, increased competition and innovation between suppliers, and lower costs for users. All of the above, plus encouraging consistency of approach, including re-use of existing systems wherever possible, avoiding unnecessary "new-builds", and using the power of 43 to buy ICT products and services once rather than many times, are core principles which the Company's activity has been founded on. Now, with demonstrable changes in each of the above areas beginning to surface, and a strong sense among stakeholders that Service-wide data sharing and interoperability beyond current Force boundaries and local collaborations are achievable, the Company is more aligned with the National Police CIOs, in particular, in working collectively towards these goals.

Responsibilities included P&L ownership, strategy, marketing and sales in the Capita Division covering the Police & Justice market. It also included increasing Capita's visibility and standing in the Police & Justice market, and identifying and pursuing new business and developing growth areas for Capita's broad capabilities across all areas of the Criminal Justice system of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Responsible for BTs Business relationship with the Police Service in England and Wales, valued at c. £96m by 2011. Role includes client strategy, sales and pipeline development, marketing and contract delivery. Member of the management team leading BTs Central and Home Affairs sector

Managing sales team covering Blus Chip clients with target revenues of £10m; Senior Level Customer relationships. Managing Customer Services team to deliver class leading support services

RAM Mobile Data was a £12m business. Joined in September in 1999 to develop the sales team to significantly increase value of business in the the Field Service sector. Led the largest deal in the Company's history - worth £8m over two years.
